From the Democratic Underground, a perfect example of how low and personal these people get with their insults:
Is it just me or is that kind of awkward? She's a beard.
For those who don't know, a "beard" refers to a woman who marries or dates a homosexual man, in order to maintain the appearance that he is a heterosexual.
The comments continue with their sophomoric tilt:
Maybe bush is applauding because it's the first time!!!yes, but no tongue, his lips seem unable to open that far.
You just don't kiss a prostitute. Can you blame her?
And of course, no political debate from the left would be complete if you neglect to bring the children into it:
"Don't Mess My Pearls Bob. The adopted kids might think we actually KNOW each other. Props honey remember it is all Props."
John Roberts is gay, with a beard for a wife, and two props for kids.
These people are enlightened and progressive?
In all the agitation about Pierre Pettigrew and his relationship with his chauffeur, no one on the right that I read threw the accusation of being a homosexual as an insult. The questions was always about the proper use of public money.
Well, some people pointed out that Pierre Pettigrew always had great hair, but then he's won contests on who in Ottawa has the best hair.
But prostitutes, beards, phoney children? Their hypocritical viciousness never fails to amaze me.
[More reaction to the confirmation.]
