Cindy Sheehan: Tracking Interest -- New Data

This is my second look at the media interest in the Cindy Sheehan situation. So far, everything is tracking as expected:

In my previous post I noted that interest in Cindy Sheehan seems to be driven mostly by other players, not Cindy Sheehan herself. Events such as the visit by Bush officials or the vandalization of the crosses pumped up interest, but when all there was was Cindy, the media didn't really care. The latest downward trend corresponds to Cindy Sheehan leaving Camp Casey. She has issued the "liars and hypocrites" memo, but that hasn't registered. The small surge in interest seems to have more to do with Fort Qualls, which tends to reflect poorly on Camp Casey, and so is publicity that they would probably prefer not to have.

Short of the Bush administration acknowledging her, or another violent event at the Camp Casey location, we might be seeing the flame out of this story. But a lot can happen in a week.

[Blogs for Bush performs an intriguing comparison -- interest in Cindy Sheehan vs Casey Sheehan.]
