Vanquishing Wesley Crusher!

That's right. Wesley Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation:

Many viewers found the character intensely irritating, claiming he was a Mary Sue ('Wesley' being Gene Roddenberry's middle name). There was at one point a Usenet newsgroup named "alt.wesley.crusher.die.die.die."

For those who don't know what a Mary Sue is:

Mary Sue (or simply Sue) is a usually derogatory expression for a fictional character who is an idealized stand-in for the author, or for a story with such a character. A Mary Sue therefore goes beyond a conventional author surrogate character. The term originates in fan fiction but is spreading into general use.

This morning, news arrived of my success at The Truth Laid Bear Ecosystem:

Excellent.

[For the humour impaired, this is of course just a joke. I certainly have nothing against Wil Wheaton, who besides acting has branched out into writing, poker, and fatherhood, and by all accounts, has enjoyed considerable success in all three.]
