Then from PrisonPlanet.com, a web site dedicated to the real news, it was MI5 (who then warned the Israelis):

This has MI5 written all over it. Just watch that national ID card legislation sail through. Only 15% of the country supported the government after the last election, this will ensure total fealty to a smarmy Blair and whatever he wants to do. Ken Livingstone and the opposition parties will now have no grounds to reject ID card legislation, especially with the Olympics coming to London in 2012.

The police state measures they'll get out of this will be overlaid onto all forms of transport. In fact, you won't be able to travel without the ID card. Although MI5 operations are normally more sophisticated than things like 9/11, in that the evidence linking it to the government is more carefully covered, just watch for the evidence of inside involvement to trickle out. MI5 have been caught involved in IRA bombings multiple times over.

From Conspiracy Planet, we get the President working British Prime Minister Tony Blair and with the Queen of England herself to fend off upcoming scandals by arranging for the bombings to divert the attention of the press:

• An unofficial , that is Ad Hoc Committe of the U.S. House of Representatives was quietly considering Resolutions of Impeachment against the occupant and resident of the White House, George W. Bush. Includrd were charges of treason for starting a war without vote of Congress. and on knowingly false and fraudulent data. The Impeachment of Bush Resolutions were reportedly set to be revealed on July 11, 2005.


• Other accusations were quietly pending against Queen of England stooge and scapegoat Tony Blair at the time of the London bombings.


• The Spanish King, late in 2004, met with Bush at Bush's ranch along with Vicente Fox, President of Mexico. Bush secretly agreed to surrender to Mexico's sovereignty parts of southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Such a secret arrangement is not only violative of the U.S. Constitution but reverses centures of worldwide history. Hoping to survive, a nation's leader does not seek to give away territory taken over from a previous war. The parts of U.S. states were won by the U.S. as a result of the U.S.-Mexico War of 1849. George W. Bush commits treason to reverse the same.

On the other hand, maybe Bush is just a patsy, according to the Wayne Maden Report:

Also, the British Ministry of Defense had just announced a major troop withdrawal from Iraq over the next 18 months. The G-8 Summit is now off the topics of global warming and assisting Africa and back on Cheney's and Bush's favorite issue -- terrorism.

Of course, there's always the French to consider, thanks to Conspiracy Nation:

The French had been noticeably upset when they learned about having narrowly lost to London for the 2012 Olympics hosting. An irritated French President Jacques Chirac quipped, upon hearing the news, "You can't trust people who cook as badly as them." Today's horrible events in London occur against a backdrop of recently deteriorating British/French relations and the devolution of the planned European Union.

But to tentatively breathe, "What about the French?" is nowhere done. Yet, at this point, a proper investigation would not quickly rule anyone out. Instead, as in "Casablanca," a "reality" of "the usual suspects" is being shaped.

But at The Truth Seeker, the answer is in the numbers:

How does this relate to London? The date of course was 7/7. Also the year is 2005, 7/7/2005: 7/7/2+0+0+5: 7/7/7 = 777. Also the number the Bible gives the beast from the pit is 666. If you add: 666+111=777.

All of this fits far too neatly into their satanic number code. If you recall it was flight 77 that slammed into the Pentagon. Multiples of 11 are often used by these satanists to send out a secret signal to each other in instances like these, almost like some kind of demonic smoke signal. If you recall; there were 911 days BETWEEN the day of the 9/11 Attacks and the 2004 Madrid Train Bombings on March 11, (again the 11). Why is the Number `11' important? Occultists believe it is an important number of the coming Antichrist. God assigns the Number `11' to Antichrist in Daniel 7:7-8.

To be honest, I'm not sure how that clears things up at all.

Of course, none of these theories is the least bit credible, at least not until Michael Moore decides to make a documentary based on one of them. But then he would have to admit that his own pet theory was wrong:
